i listened to fire on the mountain, just sounds like john's trying too hard to sound like jerry to me. i dunno. i want to like it, but, well, you know what i'm tryin to say.

Some of the problem I have had with past collaborations is I tried to make the guitarist sound like jerry ... I'm not saying that you are doing this. But just thought id share! With this guy he DOES try to sound like Jerry as you can hear on any DSO show....

My ears have givin' Bobby plenty of time to STOP trying to rephrase/reinvent (unnecessarily) Jerry's tunes. If the current configs are going to do Jerry tunes, PLEASE let a fresh/strong/creative vocalist to sing those tunes and let Bobby, Phil, etc to concentrate on the music.

I know what you mean. He'd damned if he does; damned if he doesn't. They sound better than The Dead, at least from what I've heard. I have trouble with JK's vocals though. And Bobby is talk-singing too much. Music is surprisingly good, but singing is kinda bad.
